Vulcanized fibre consists of layers of vulcanized cellulose. It is extremely hard-wearing and is particularly indicated for producing abrasive discs for portable machines. The thickness of this fibre is 0.8mm. Thermosetting (phenolic) resins are used as binders. They feature a strong adhesive power and considerable resistance to the development of heat and moisture. These resins contain additives with active fillers that give the products cooling and anti-clogging properties.
